  • To enter Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, visitors must have a negative COVID-19 test result.
  • Fans must have a negative PCR test result obtained no more than 48 hours before their flight to Qatar if they are six years of age or older.
  • Face masks are also required in Qatar when using the public transport system.
  • If you are over 21, it is acceptable to consume alcohol in Qatar. Alcohol will be available to fans in “licensed bars or restaurants.”
  • Public drinking is still not allowed.
  • Since February 2021, game tickets for Qatar stadiums promising access to liquor and beer for hospitality customers have been available. These are for purchase as part of corporate packages that include “luxury drinks.”

  • Since 2014, the import, sale and use of e-cigarettes has been banned in Qatar.
  • The perpetrators face a maximum penalty of three months in prison and a fine of $2,750 (QAR 10,000).
