Gabriel Jesus

The more obvious of the choices would be number 9 of the Gunners. The ace striker has moved from the blue of Manchester to the red of Arsenal this summer and has had quite a fruitful start to his new journey with 5 goals and 5 assists to his name so far. He is not a one-dimensional striker as he drops deep and helps build plays, which will help the Selecao during the World Cup.

Roberto Firmino

Although it looked like the arrival of Darwin Nunez and the rise of Jota would be the end of Firmino’s career at Liverpool, Bobby has proved the haters wrong with 8 goals and 4 assists in 13 games so far for the Reds. Like Jesus, he involves himself in the build-up and can play as a False-9, which could be beneficial for the Selecao.

Neymar Jr

While this is not the position the winger with all that flair prefers to play in, it is a position he could play in given Brazil’s strength in their wings. With 12 goals and 9 assists in 16 games so far, the stylish player is having a ball in Paris and will be keen to bring the same to Qatar.

Although Richarlison’s absence is a blow for Brazil as they counted on him to deliver in his very first World Cup, they are not short of quality and should be well stacked for the big event of the World Cup.
